Welcome to the website for Model Railroaders and Railfans in the South Texas area We are a group of train minded folks who gather to share common interest in railroading, either the real thing or models, history or current, if it is about trains we may talk about it South Texas is a really big area, from Brownsville to San Antonio, Del Rio to Corpus Christi, Laredo to Victoria, covering the Rio Grande Valley and Coast, up to the Hill Country We used to gather every 3 months, for a couple hours, to enjoy a couple clinics or presentations, share regional railroad information, have Show-n-Tell, and socialize with other train folks. And we often had side trips, to a club, museum or home layout tour and hobby shop run. The ‘Socials’ were suspended after June 2022, as the LSR Division Meetings started up after. We have ‘Shop Talk’ sessions every few months. Read more on the Formats page. This is not a club. There are no rules or dues. When in person, you just need to buy lunch at the place. We are just train folks gathering to talk trains, share ideas and have fun.
